CLEVELAND, Ohio – Friday night on the field is a game for Indians and twins.

Earlier in the day, the two teams and MLB talked about a possible postponement of Friday’s 20:10 start, as the two players at St. Louis Cardinals tested positive for coronavirus. The cardinals played the twins in the field on Wednesday the day before the Indians came to play a minigame in Minneapolis.

The cardinals announced on Friday morning that both players were positive on Wednesday while the team was in Minneapolis.

On Friday, just after 4:30 p.m., ET was allowed the Indians and twins to play the game. The Indians send Mike Clevinger up the hill to face Minnesota̵

The Indians were behind in preparation for the prelude because they did not leave the hotel until they heard that they would definitely play. The visitor’s locker room also had to be sanitized.

Shane Bieber and James Karinchak put the Indians on a 2-0 victory in the first game of the series on Thursday night. With 13 strokes, Bieber started eight shots without goals and Karinchak won ninth place for his first save.

This will be Clevinger’s second start of the season.
