Credit Suisse reported net income of CHF 1.16 billion ($ 1.27 billion) in the second quarter of 2020 and received additional provisions for the coronavirus crisis and its economic impact.
Analysts expected a net profit of 838.9 million Swiss francs for the three-month period to the end of June, according to Refinitive.
The bank reported a net profit of 1.31 billion Swiss francs for the first quarter. At that time, it set aside 568 million Swiss francs to address possible loan losses.
Inventories have been declining by 27% since the beginning of the year.
