The planned weekend series between the Phillies and the Blue Jays has been postponed, Toronto captain Charlie Montoyo tells reporters including Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca (via Twitter). Currently, the Jays will be hanging tight in DC and waiting for another word after packing their series with the Nats.
This contributes to the accumulation of MLB plans that are still under construction and that will require more and more intricate adjustments during the season. It was hoped that Marlins’ escape from COVID-19 would remain in this club. This morning, however, it became clear that two non-members of the Phillies had been infected.
With the side positions of the two teams, their planned opponents are also on the ice. In that case, Jays and Nats may eventually quit and wait in the same place. It is not yet known whether the league will attempt to organize competitions between the two organizations in any way in order to maintain its logic games.
