SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 Group of CEOs today approved a plan for the fall of football at 2020, which includes a table of 10 games and a number of features designed to ensure maximum flexibility. In addition, the CEO Group has approved competition start dates and best practices for seasons for men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, and men̵

Return plans for each of these sports were established after extensive consultation with the Pac-12 Medical Advisory Committee. The health and safety of our student athletes and those associated with Pac-12 is our number one priority, and we are ready to adjust our plans if the health situation changes. In addition, the conference previously announced that Pac-12 student athletes who choose not to participate in intercollegiate athletics during the upcoming academic year due to COVID-19 safety concerns will continue to receive their scholarships from their university and will remain well standing with their team. .

“Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, we have committed ourselves to prioritizing the health and safety of our student students and all those involved in our athletic programs,” said Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott. “The timetable and plans approved today and how to return to competition are subject to public health regulations and will be implemented in accordance with the health and well-being guidelines developed by our Pac-12 Medical Advisory Committee. The schedule and game plans provide maximum flexibility and the best opportunity to play all sports in an environment that prioritizes safety. At the same time, we will continue to evaluate the best available scientific knowledge, data and advice from public health officials on decision-making and any necessary adjustments in the future. “
