In May, Spotify launched a beta feature, a new feature called Group Session, that allows premium users in the same area to share, play, and skip songs while listening together. The streaming platform has now announced a group session update that allows you to listen to playlists and podcasts with other users anywhere in the world. You can invite up to four other people to join a listening session by going to the Connect tab (located in the lower left corner of the mobile interface) and generating a “connect” link, which can then be sent via messaging services. Each user in the group will be able to play, pause, and skip songs, as well as select new songs and add songs to the queue.
Earlier this year, Spotify lifted the library̵7;s long-running 10,000 song limit, which allows users to store as many songs as they want. Following the outbreak of a coronavirus pandemic, the streaming giant launched the Spotify COVID-19 Music Relief project.
