2021 Ford Bronco controls almost every right off-road box you can live with, and Ford is doubling the fit with new options, including this newly leaked frame door.
members Forums Bronco6G were busy parsing the web URL of one of the public vehicle configuration pages, discovering ways to change the letters and numbers on the web address to generate previews of various equipment combinations and selections, some of which we haven’t seen before.
The big news is the tubular frame door, which is supposed to be another option that can be purchased and replaced with a conventional door, which is all unwanted, as it was designed for the SUV. Ford has previously announced another set of optional doors, which are half-doors with cutouts for those who want some exposure but are still worried about the vehicle’s design line or something.
Tubular doors are different. In the image generated by the “hacked” web URL, these graphically overlap with regular Bronco production doors. This is definitely just a system failure that is likely to still be reworked. These visuals have not yet been intended for public display. Too bad!
Other members playing with the URL were able to get a variety of erroneous results, such as the one showing a bumper sticking out of a wheel:
Or this one that doesn’t seem to have bumper or runner equipment:
Another hacked preview has generated nice previews of what a body body color looks like in a bright red color that is attached and removed:
Instructions for playing with the URL are available on the Bronco6G forums, but it appears that Ford has already been able to access them from the web. The thread still contains hundreds of user-generated variations, so if you’re wondering what different color and crop combinations might look like, sift through the thread this afternoon.
